Chai Guang Mutual Storage - Empowering Jiashan Alibaba's Digital Energy Transformation - Mobile Data Center's Future Sustainable Energy Transformation. The project is located in a heavy industrial base, radiating throughout the Yangtze River Delta, with a huge demand for electricity. We have designed and built an integrated distribution network power supply system that includes photovoltaic power generation system, lithium battery energy storage system, and 68 large-scale 1200KW diesel power generation systems as backup power sources to ensure power supply stability, achieving the linkage of photovoltaic and diesel storage.
For data centers, IT and air conditioning cooling equipment are the main sources of energy consumption, typically accounting for 85% of the total energy consumption. IT equipment mainly consists of servers, storage, and network communication devices. The power consumption of the server system accounts for about 50%, the storage system accounts for about 35%, and the network communication equipment accounts for about 15%. Based on the capacity of the energy storage system, reduce the storage capacity of diesel generators, decrease the output power or number of oil engines, in order to achieve a low-carbon strategy. Another mode is the energy storage independent backup mode. In a multi-channel power supply data center, a 12 hour energy storage system is configured to discharge 100% of the power, achieving the replacement of oil engines.
